For recovering the deleted contacts, just follow the steps below.
Step 1.Run the Android Data Recovery and connect your phone.
Start Android Data Recovery, take your USB cable and connect your Android device to your computer.
Step 2.Allow USB debugging.
Click "OK" on your phone and then allow the USB debugging. If you have done this before, skip it.
1) For Android 5.0 or newer: Tap "Settings" > "About Phone" to tap "Build number" seven times for "You are now a developer!" signal. Then, move to "Settings" > "Developer options" to turn on "USB debugging"
2) For Android 4.2 to 4.4.4: Move steps according to the methods for Android 5.0
3) For Android 3.0 to 4.1: Enter "Settings" > "Developer options" > Tick "USB debugging"
4) For Android 2.3 or earlier: Go to "Settings" > "Applications" > "Development" > Tick "USB debugging"
Step 3.Select the wanted file type.
When the following window pops up, check the "Contacts". If there are any other deleted files you need, check it also. And then click the "Next" button for the next step.
Step 4.Choose the mode and then scan the Android device.
There are "Standard Mode" and "Advanced Mode" for you to select. Choose one suitable to you. "Standard Mode" is recommended. And then click "Start".
Note: if you cannot find what you need, choose the "Advanced Mode".
It will take some time to do this, so just wait for it.
Note: when you see the Superuser authorization notification, click on "Allow".
Step 5.Preview and recover deleted text messages on Android devices.
Preview files and choose the ones you want to recover. Check the file name and click "Recover" to save them on your computer.
Both deleted and existing data on your Android device will be showed. Check the "Display deleted files only" to see which ones are not available on your Android device.
